Theft charge

A 36-year-old Far North man has been charged with stealing a Red Cross donation box from a shop counter in Russell on October 31. The incident was captured on CCTV, which eventually led Kawakawa police to the Paihia man, who will appear in the Kaikohe District Court on February 28.
