Special blooms shared

-

Avid Kaitaia gardener Coral Cornwall is particularly proud of her Aporocactus Flagelliformis, more commonly known as rat’s tail cactus.

She has several plants, which flower in spectacular fashion every year. The blooms didn’t last long, she said, but she liked to share them while they were at their best, often delivering them to her local RSA.

The cactus, which originates in Mexico but is also believed to grow wild in South America, produces numerous ‘tails’, each of which produces multiple blooms.
