Body recovered

The body of a diver who failed to surface near Moturoa Island on Friday was recovered on Friday evening. The alarm was raised at about 8.30am, the Police Maritime Unit, a commercial dive boat and a Northland rescue helicopter responding. The diver was found in the water, and confirmed as deceased, a short time later. His body was recovered that evening by the police dive squad.
