Auckland We read in the ‘In Brief’ column of the Age, January 3, that a group of motorcycle riders were recently ‘warned’ for doing wheelstands on Foreshore Rd, Ahipara.

I wonder if the officer was told, as I was when I asked a youthful rider who had paused to give his machine a few extra revs after his demonstration in front of our house, if his actions weren’t perhaps a bit dangerous and annoying, to “grow up and get a life?”

I’m 86, so I suppose I’d better get to work on it. Where do you get these bikes? BRIAN FARRANT

Ahipara global warming, and our emissions are increasing, not reducing, how could it be that from February 2016 to February 2018 there was an average global temperature drop of 0·56°C ? And why have you not seen/heard about this via the feminist media ? If the data had suggested record warming, it would have been all over the feminist media. This two-year cooling period might not mean global warming is a fraud, but it at least deserves enquiry from honest media. ALAN JONES
