Illegal camping

Police were impressed by the effort made by illegal campers to set themselves up at Hukatere, behind 90 Mile Beach, but did not get to meet them earlier this week. They found a collection of chairs, clotheslines and tarpaulins, and the remains of a fire, in a large cleared area but no occupants.
