Two more in blue at Kaitaia sta­tion

Two more po­lice re­cruits have com­pleted their train­ing in Porirua and have been posted to Kaitaia.

Amanda Hud­son, a long­time mem­ber of the ad­min staff at Taipa¯ Area School, and Bri­ahn Ruri, from the Mid North, were for­mally wel­comed with a powhiri at Para­para Marae, and are now un­der­tak­ing their field train­ing with Con­sta­ble Tim Mur­dock, at Man­gonui, be­fore join­ing their sec­tions in Kaitaia.

Re­cruiter ex­traor­di­naire Sergeant Sarah Wi­hongi, who is based in Kaitaia, said both women would make a very valu­able con­tri­bu­tion to the force in Te Hiku.
