There has been huge public interest since National announced its Future of Education public meetings, with a focus on the government’s Tomorrow’s Schools proposals and wider education issues, according to education spokeswoman Nikki Kaye. Because of that interest, and a desire give as many people as possible the chance to contribute, the party was looking to convene 40 meetings over eight weeks. The only Far North meeting would be in Kerikeri on April 4, venue to be confirmed.
