Football ladies week

The NZ Football’s Girls and Women’s Week for 2019 will be celebrated in Northland from this Friday, February 15, to Sunday, February 24. Activities the Northland Football Federation will run during this time include the Female Only Community Based Referee Course at Tikipunga next Tuesday, February 19, from 6 to 8pm; and the Girls Only ‘Let’s Play’ Festival (fun games and activities for 7 to 12 year olds) also at Tikipunga on Saturday, February 23, from 9 to 10am. The latter event will be held in conjunction with the Women’s Only 7-a-side Tournament featuring social and competitive grades from 10am. In other NFF news, Emmanuel Darkwa is running a Comet update workshop from 6pm7pm tomorrow (Wednesday, February 13) at the St John Ambulance Station meeting room on Kerikeri Road. This will include updates on the new ‘Communicator’ area of COMET and the answering of any other questions which anyone might have before the season starts. The event offers a great opportunity to talk to Emman face-to-face as registrations get into full swing and clear up any issues or concerns which clubs may have. Any clubs unable to send somebody along are advised to let the NFF know.
