After a highly successful Talent Development Programme in Cambridge last month, New Zealand Rugby League has announced the list of players selected for the New Zealand Resident 16s and 18s, both being 26-man squads. The only Northland to make the cut was Tea-Rani Woodman Tuhoro (Takahiwai Warriors) in the wider 16s squad. The three-day camp at the end of January put 80 of the best 16s and 18s players in the country through their paces both on and off the field, and culminated with two trial matches on the final day. The two squads will assemble on the first Monday of the school holidays, April 15 and July 8, with a game in October to be announced in the coming months.
