Car removed

The Kaitiaki Rangers at Tokerau Beach swung into action when one of three cars that had been racing on the beach was abandoned. With the help of nearby residents they towed the car, which had no registration plates, away from the beach, for its later removal by DoC. The rangers are also watching for the bike riders who have been damaging middens, affecting the shape of the dunes and disrupting nesting petrels, terns and pied stilts.
