Ferry resumes

-

The Hokianga Harbour Ferry is expected to resume normal services today, with repairs to one of its engines due to have been completed yesterday.

Sailings were halted on Sunday as a precaution due to mechanical issues.

The Far North District Council was working with a local ferry operator to arrange for a passenger-only service to begin crossing the harbour yesterday afternoon. Details of that service, and updates on repairs to the vehicle ferry, would be posted on www.fndc.govt.nz and the council’s Facebook page when available.

Alternatively, phone the council’s contact centre on 0800 920-029 for the latest information.
