Support the strike
On March 15, school students across the country will strike. Their agenda? To demand that government fast-tracks urgent action to hold global warming to no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.
This comes on the heels of an alarming 2018 announcement from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change: humanity only has 12 years to mobilise the most radical programme ever of greenhouse gas reducing action, or suffer exponentially worse effects than the horrific climate catastrophe that’s already certain to occur.
