Not rural group

The cellphone tower in Coopers Beach is owned by telecommunications company Spark, not the Rural Connectivity Group (‘Residents angry at 14m tower plan’, March 14). Far North District Council general manager district services, Dean Myburgh, incorrectly said anyone wanting to explore alternatives to the tower site should contact the rural Connectivity Group. They should contact Spark on 0800 235 574. The Rural Connectivity Group works in rural areas that do not have mobile coverage.
