Paddlers prepare

The Far North is well represented at the national secondary schools’ waka ama championships in Rotorua this week, starting today with the last of the finals scheduled for Friday. The contenders for medals include crews from Okaihau College, Opononi Area School, Te Kura Kaupapa Ma¯ori o Kaikohe, TKKM o Pukemiro, TKKM o te Tonga o Hokianga and TKKM o Whangaroa.
