Seven drink drivers

One driver was issued with an infringement notice and six were charged with drink driving at a police checkpoint in Kaitaia’s North Road over the weekend. One driver, who recorded 768 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath, was also charged with driving whilst disqualified for the third or subsequent time, while another, who recorded 867 micrograms, was driving on a zero alcohol licence. The legal limit is 250 micrograms.
