Call for plan contractors
The Northland Regional Council, on behalf of Te Oneroa-a-To¯he¯ Board, is seeking proposals from suitably qualified contractors for the development of a beach management plan (BMP) for Te Oneroa-a-To¯he¯ (90 Mile Beach).
The board, which was established as a statutory body as part of Treaty settlement redress for Te Aupouri, Ngati Kuri, Ngai Takoto and Te Rarawa, is required by legislation to prepare a BMP, the purpose of which is to identify the vision, objectives, and desired outcomes for the beach, provide direction to those making decisions in relation to it, and express the board’s aspirations for its care and management.
The board is requesting proposals for the drafting of the BMP and supporting documentation, the provision of technical advice and support in developing the plan, facilitation of workshops for the development of the plan, and participation in some of the consultation activities.
