Okaihau College teams did well

Eighteen Okaihau College students contested the northern regional 2019 AgriKids and Junior Young Farmer competitions at the Warkworth A&P show.

Beau Edwards, Madison Jay-Johnson and Ehlana Reid, Isaac Quarrie, Grace Sanders and Gemma Harrison vied for the AgriKids honours, with Aimee Lawson and Nick Harrison, Benjamin Clunie and Bohemia Sanders, Elsie Quarrie and Oceane de Reuck, Madelene Clunie and Hayley Bradley, Cody Ott and Max Thomas, Harry Harrison and Zoe Harrison in the Junior Young Farmer competition.

Both AgriKids teams made it to the top seven, with Gemma, Grace and Isaac second, and earning a spot at the national event. Harry and Zoe, and Madelene and Hayley made the Junior Young Farmer finals, Madelene and Hayley placing third overall.
