Ping pong and a market

-

Wednesday evening table tennis resumed at the Fairburn Kaiaka Hall yesterday.

“The wait is over,” chairman Peter Niepel said.

“The hall will be open from 7pm. Please note the change in starting time; we thought it would be good to give people a bit more time to feed the kids, say hello to their partner and get changed for a good ping pong workout. Same as last year, no entry fee, but a gold coin donation would be appreciated.

“We provide tables and have some bats as well. They are old and have seen a lot, but hey, it is the skills that matter, not the equipment.”

Meanwhile the hall will host an Easter market on Sunday April 14, with no stall fees and no charge for admission. Funds will be raised for the hall by selling food and coffee, and the barbecue will be fired up for lunch.

Anyone who would like a stall should contact Peter on (09) 408-0110.

The hall will open for setting up at 10am, with the market getting under way at 11.
