Saturday’s visit to Kaitaia by a World War II Catalina flying boat, already postponed from the previous weekend because of weather concerns, was been cancelled. The organisers once again cited an unfavourable weather forecast for Sunday, although the forecasters got it wrong. Sunday was beautifully fine in the Far North from dawn to dusk.
