Students set to entertain

-

Abundant Life School Kaitaia students are well known to the residents of their local rest home. Every term the visit, reading to and spending time with the residents, but this time they added to their repertoire.

Principal Mark Tan said his assistant principal (primary) Margie de Beer ensured that the primary pupils called at the home regularly, visits that the residents obviously enjoyed. And this term secondary music teacher Opeloge Ah Sam organised another visit, with senior secondary students entertaining with music and singing, and spending time with their hosts.

“As a school we recognise and value the contribution that the ‘more mature’ generation has provided our community, and it is simply our way of thanking and blessing them,” Mr Tan said.
