Out of bounds

Hatitaimarangai Marae is asking the public to comply with a ban on motorised vehicles on the sand dunes at Tokerau Beach and Puwheke. Tiakitia o Matou Takutai Moana (Protect Our Sand Dunes) was in response to what marae chairman Thompson Lawrence described as continued desecration of wahi tapu, archaeological sites and dune vegetation.
