Slow pursuit

A Kaitaia man has been charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and with excess alcohol after a low-speed 20-minute pursuit by police on Saturday night. The pursuit was abandoned after police identified the driver, who was followed to his home and arrested. He recorded 981 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath, almost four times the legal limit.
