Hapu¯ to meet

Nga¯puhi hapu¯ will gather on Saturday, for the second time this year to work, to progress a new negotiation framework to resolve the iwi’s historical Treaty claims. Hui facilitator Nicki Wakefield said the hapu¯ were passionate about working with their people and controlling their own destinies, and the hui, at Te Puna o Te Matauranga Marae (NorthTec) in Whanga¯rei, would give them the opportunity to declare their own pathways.
