Dope detail

The Northland Age - - Local News -

Minister of Justice Andrew Little has confirmed some details of next year’s referendum on the legalising of cannabis, saying the referendum, which would be held in tandem with the 2020 general election, would be on “detailed law”, so New Zealanders could see what they were voting for. The proposal is to regulate the private cultivation of cannabis, to ban advertising of cannabis products, to make purchase legal only from licensed, registered retailers at licensed premises, to declare consumption legal only on licensed premises or private property, and to restrict the legal age of purchase to 20. The driver of one of two cars involved in a crash on SH1 at Pamapuria on Monday afternoon was flown by rescue helicopter to Auckland Hospital, where he underwent emergency brain surgery.

A Kaitaia Fire Brigade crew worked for some time to free the man, who was trapped upside down and was bleeding heavily from a head injury. One person in the other car was taken to Kaitaia Hospital by St John ambulance with minor injuries.

According to police one of the cars had crossed the centre line in the cut immediately south of the Fairburn Rd intersection at about 5.10pm.

The highway was closed between Fairburn Rd and Takahue Rd for approximately four hours while the police Serious Crash unit began its investigation and the scene was cleared.
