An exotic day out
Mangonui Garden Club members enjoyed a day out last month, visiting the Exotic Garden and Museum at Totara North. After a leisurely stroll round the extensive gardens everyone crossed the road to the museum before adjourning to the Gum Store for lunch.
Meanwhile $600 of the proceeds from the club’s very successful second annual flower show in February is to be donated to the SPCA, Riding for the Disabled and Donna Doolittle’s animal rescue.
This month’s meeting featured garden tips for autumn and what to plant in May, while the competitions resulted as follows.
Blooms await judging at the Mangonui Garden Club’s May meeting.
