Top NZ players to take part in exhibition event
An Invitational Exhibition Darts Tournament is being bought to Kaitaia by the team which have run the very successful charity boxing nights at Te Ahu Centre over recent years.
The event is being held from 1-8pm at Te Ahu on Saturday July 27, and represents a great opportunity to see world class darts players in action.
A field of 16 made up of a mix of local talent and New Zealand-ranked players have signed up for the event. On the evening, large screens will be set up for viewing and there will also be live entertainment from the Jackson Taylor Band and a guest appearance by Jason Kerrison. Food is part of ticket sale while a cash/ ticket bar system will be in operation with eftpos and courtesy vans available.
The event is being organised by Kaitaia Sport and Leisure Trust with general admission tickets going for $40 per person, tables of 10 for $600 and sponsorship tables for $500 with sponsor’s details promoted on all print material.
With prizes for best dressed themed tables and only 14 tables available, early expressions of interest was recommended. The event is R18 due to liquor licence requirements and tickets will be released two week out from event date for security reasons.
