Top NZ play­ers to take part in exhibition event

An In­vi­ta­tional Exhibition Darts Tour­na­ment is be­ing bought to Kaitaia by the team which have run the very suc­cess­ful char­ity box­ing nights at Te Ahu Cen­tre over re­cent years.

The event is be­ing held from 1-8pm at Te Ahu on Satur­day July 27, and rep­re­sents a great op­por­tu­nity to see world class darts play­ers in ac­tion.

A field of 16 made up of a mix of lo­cal tal­ent and New Zealand-ranked play­ers have signed up for the event. On the evening, large screens will be set up for view­ing and there will also be live en­ter­tain­ment from the Jack­son Tay­lor Band and a guest ap­pear­ance by Ja­son Ker­ri­son. Food is part of ticket sale while a cash/ ticket bar sys­tem will be in op­er­a­tion with eft­pos and cour­tesy vans avail­able.

The event is be­ing or­gan­ised by Kaitaia Sport and Leisure Trust with gen­eral ad­mis­sion tick­ets go­ing for $40 per per­son, ta­bles of 10 for $600 and spon­sor­ship ta­bles for $500 with spon­sor’s de­tails pro­moted on all print ma­te­rial.

With prizes for best dressed themed ta­bles and only 14 ta­bles avail­able, early ex­pres­sions of in­ter­est was rec­om­mended. The event is R18 due to liquor li­cence re­quire­ments and tick­ets will be re­leased two week out from event date for se­cu­rity rea­sons.
