The Northland Age

One more planting

-

Friends of Rangikapiti was grateful to the volunteers who turned up on Sunday and, according to chairman John Haines, “worked like Trojans on a beautiful morning” for planting. “We’re not done yet, however, and could use your help for a couple of hours on Thursday morning if possible,” he added. Meet at the pa¯ carpark on the unsealed road to the right off Rangikapiti Rd at Cooper’s Beach at 9.30am. “This may be our last planting day of the season, and all ages are encouraged to participate,” John said. “There will be lighter jobs such as stacking used pots and bags, mulching and taking photographs. Bring your energy, good footwear, gardening gloves and a spade. A drink bottle and rain jacket wouldn’t go amiss.”
