Year 10 students around Northland aren’t getting a day off school today after all, the PPTA last week calling off its plan to not teach those classes as part of members’ rolling strikes. President Jack Boyle said there would be no further comment “at this time”. The union had stated that it would take “rostering home action”, affecting specific year groups on different days, over four weeks. It was not known yesterday whether plans not to teach Year 11 students on June 25 and Year 12 on July 12 would proceed.
