The driver of a vehicle seen by police “flying” along Pukepoto Rd, Kaitaia, last week recorded 280 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath, and was fined accordingly. He also received a number of tickets. Another man, who was seen “swerving up a storm” on the Awanui Straight, recorded 600 micrograms and was charged with driving with excess alcohol.
