The Far North District Council’s general manager — district services, Dr Dean Myburgh said he was confident that all processes related to the temporary dog shelter at Horeke had been followed correctly.

The council would respond in full to any enquiries received from the Office of the Ombudsman in relation to Bay of Islands Watchdogs’ concerns, he added.
