The horse rings were busy at the North Hokianga A&P Associatio­n’s 106th show at Broadwood on Saturday, with the standard of competitio­n as high as ever. The 2020 champions were as follows. Youth rider — Keisha Yeo, Linden Summer Rhapsody. Reserve — Olivia Chuck, Mr McCloud.

Novice show pony — Ridgewood Hidden Secret, Ehlana Reid. Reserve — Ridgewood Superstar, Chloe Schischka.

Open show pony — Linden Summer Rhapsody. Reserve — Ridgewood Mama Mia, Chloe Schischka.

Novice saddle hunter — Mr McCloud. Reserve — Dynamic Duo, Tamzyn Howell. Open saddle pony hunter — Mr McCloud. Reserve — Dynamic Duo.

Junior supreme champion — Linden Summer Rhapsody. Lead rein rider — Savannah Collinson, Kirkwood Syrah. Reserve — Sophia Anderson, Meadow Lea Makita.
