Comedian to perform

Irish comedian Alan McElroy will perform at the Turner Centre this St Patrick’s Day alongside Irish instrumental group Sona. McElroy was recently nominated for the Best MC at the NZ Comedy Guild Awards. He has performed to sellout crowds in Melbourne and Sydney. Sona, which translates to “happy” in Irish, comprises multiinstrumentalists Emily Roughton and brothers Caleb and Chabb Chia together with dancers Laura and Claire Robertson. The five artists are regular performers at the Auckland Folk Festival. Thursday, March 17 at 7pm. Tickets at turnercentre.co.nz.
