Special visitor at fly-in
The Kaitaia Aero Club will be hosting the Northern Aviators Club’s fly-in this Saturday (November 5).
The club is expecting an interesting collection of aircraft from as far away as Invercargill, says Paul Muller, the club’s president.
“If all goes well, we hope to be the first to see a 76-year-old Grumman
Widgeon amphibious aircraft join us.
“It has just taken to the skies this week after a 26-year hiatus and a ‘hard out’ 18-month restoration and had even been flown by the famous Captain Freddy Ladd,” he said.
The public are welcome to have a look-see at no charge.
