Annual tournament happy affair

Far North RSA Bowling club held its Skog Bunting Family and Northland Auctions Tourney on November 5.

The format of the day was four games of 10 ends 3 bowl triples.

Weather for the day was absolutely beautiful and, with 15 teams entered, everybody seemed to be in a funny mood so laughter was not lacking, happy faces everywhere, even the non-placegette­rs were smiling, said Adele Gardner, the club’s spokeswoma­n.

The whole day was enjoyed by everyone but towards the end there were a few sore bodies.

“With the heat all over us we headed in to see who the winners were”.

for doing the kitchen and supplying players with an awesome pudding for afternoon tea. Thanks to Joanne for the raffles, Lloyd Matthews, Alan Bright and Barry Allison for doing match and Kevin for the green. Big thanks to all who turned up from Coopers Beach, Houhora, Church Road, said Gardner.

The next tournament will be held on Wednesday, November 30, the Laser Electrical any combo triples, but RSA members single entry. All other clubs can bring their own team.
