Dudley a local hero

Former military officer Dudley Andrews has been named one of Kiwibank’s 100 Local Heroes. Andrews uses his army training to instil confidence in young students, and, as Service Academy Director at Kaitaia College, works with a handful of senior students to prepare them for a career with the Defence Force. Andrews is also known as a positive role model in the community and for his heroic actions - receiving a Police commendation for his actions rescuing two young boys from drowning in 2015.
