As spring is well and truly upon us and agrichemical containers start piling up, remember that by recycling with Agrecovery, you are supporting a 100 percent local solution for plastic waste.

Our programme recycles and repurposes all of the plastic we collect right here in New Zealand - demonstrating product stewardship success. This means that farmers and growers can rest assured that they are supporting a local and sustainable solution.

Our Auckland-based provider, Astron Plastics, turns the plastic into useful products for New Zealanders. Last year, 308 tonnes of plastic was recycled through our programme. That’s enough plastic to make 260 kilometres of underground cable cover.

This means we aren’t relying on other countries to take the plastic off our hands. We’re involved from the time the product is manufactured to finding ways for the rigid plastic to be useful again. Don’t bury it, burn it or waste it! Bring your agrichemical containers to one of our 80 sites and make them go another round.

We visit large-scale farms and orchards across the country. If you have drums over 60 litres in size - or if you have more than 300 smaller containers - we’ll come to you.

Unwanted or expired agrichemicals

We have sustainable solutions for clearing these as well.

All products from participating brand owners can be recovered through Agrecovery for FREE.

Plastic containers must be triple-rinsed prior to being accepted for recycling.
