Petrol prices shoot back up
Petrol prices have risen another 3 cents a litre. In three days national petrol prices have risen 10c a litre, and diesel 7c, as oil prices continue to increase. A litre of 91-octane lifted to 182.9c, while diesel remained flat at 113.9c. Petrol and diesel prices had both fallen nearly 50c a litre as tumbling oil commodity prices led to a record run of 22 consecutive cuts at the pump. A depreciating New Zealand dollar, combined with the first increases in commodity prices since August, has turned the tide on petrol prices.
