Kelburn investment property sells for $1.62m
AN INVESTMENT property with four bedrooms in Hataitai has been auctioned for $650,000.
The two flats, at 111 Te Anau Rd, dated to the 1960s and were on a 342sqm section with harbour views and a single garage on road reserve.
‘‘Interest at the auction was due to the investment potential of the property, with its location, sun, views and potential income,’’ says Anna Peacock, of Harcourts, who marketed it with Jane Park.
‘‘However, most buyers were attracted to the property because of the potential for capital gain.’’
The property had a rateable value of $700,000. A LOWER HUTT home needing imagination and attention has been auctioned for $497,000.
The Boulcott property, at 17 Ropata Cres, had a rateable value of $510,000.
‘‘With vision and tender loving care, this four-bedroom home had a lot to offer,’’ John Tonkin, of Harcourts, says.
‘‘It was in a fantastic location, with great indoor-outdoor flow on a 607-square-metre section with a single garage and a rumpus room or office attached.’’
He says it was handy to Boulcott School and St Oran’s College, Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club, Ropata Medical Centre, and the Hutt Shops and all major transport routes.
A PALMERSTON NORTH home with a rateable value of $315,000 has been auctioned for $360,000.
The three-bedroom house, at 143 Featherston St, Takaro, was perfect for family living, says Rachael Te Awe Awe, of Harcourts, who marketed it with Blair Johns.
‘‘It was a centrally located character home within a short walk of the city and conveniences.’’
She says it was superbly presented with a modern kitchen, office and open-plan, north-facing living areas that opened to a private courtyard and entertainment area on a 669sqm section with a large double-garage, carport and off-street parking.
‘‘The section was fully fenced and the house was zoned for great schools.’’
