Beauty clinic in top J’ville location
APRIME LOCATION and fetching prospects make a beauty clinic for sale in Johnsonville an attractive proposition.
Caci Clinic Johnsonville, at 102 Johnsonville Rd, opened in October 2014 and is one of 38 that are franchised nationwide.
“It’s run by the FAB Group, the Auckland-based franchisor for Caci Clinics throughout New Zealand,” broker Nick Stevens, of Link Business, says.
“They usually don’t own and operate clinics but thought the Johnsonville location was so good they would establish the business themselves.
“However, such are the challenges of trying to run a business from another city that they feel it would be more profitable for a hands-on franchisee.”
Stevens says the highly specified clinic offers all the Caci treatments and equipment in a top shopping centre location with high foot traffic.
It employs a beauty therapist and manager full-time and a nurse for 25 hours a week.
Because the clinic operates from Tuesday to Saturday, there’s scope to increase turnover by opening on Mondays, too.
“There’s also potential to boost business with local advertising and appointing a treatment co-ordinator and dedicated salesperson to help drive sales,” Stevens says.
David and Jackie Smith opened the first Caci Clinic in 1994 in Newmarket.
“They revolutionised the beauty industry by offering advanced antiageing treatments in a day spa setting,” Stevens says.
“They’re now the leader in their field in skin treatment in New Zealand, and support their franchisees with national advertising and strategies that focus on franchisee profitability.
“They have a clear point of difference in the marketplace and offer a wide range of treatment programmes and beauty therapy services.
“Caci’s focus on skin treatment programmes means clients usually stay for at least 12 months and are an example of how the company thinks outside the square with their innovative approach to business.
“This is reflected in Caci’s dominance of the New Zealand market, with the largest Botox sales, more clinics than their competitors and the biggest advertising spend.”
Stevens says the skin care industry in New Zealand is expanding rapidly as health-conscious men and women seek relatively inexpensive treatments.
“There’s a very real opportunity here for a hands-on operator to capitalise on the reputation of the Johnsonville clinic and, with the support of the franchisor, substantially increase its profile and profitability in a location with significant barriers to entry.
“Because of the comprehensive training, you don’t need industry experience to run a Caci Clinic — just good management skills.”
The business has an asking price of $179,000 (including stock of $20,000).
