November 2016 marked the 20th anniversary of Crowded House’s farewell performance on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House. To mark this special occasion and their induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame, the band reformed for four shows only. ‘‘These are musicians at the top of their game; playful, joyful and thrilled to be back doing what they love best. It seems it wasn’t their time to go after all,’’ wrote The Guardian’s Alexander Spring about the concerts.

In this reimagining of the 1980s series, Angus ‘‘Mac’’ MacGyver (Lucas Till) creates a clandestine organisation within the US government where he uses his talent for unconventional problem-solving and vast scientific knowledge to save lives. With the help of maverick former CIA agent Jack Dalton (George Eads), Patricia Thornton (Sarndrine Holt), an ex-field agent turned director of operations and Riley Davis (Tristin Mays), an unpredictable computer hacker with a chip on her shoulder, MacGyver takes on the responsibility of saving the world, armed with resourcefulness and little more than bubble gum and a paper clip.
