Date pushed out for report into Havelock North’s water
Attorney-General Chris Finlayson has announced an extension for the independent Inquiry panel into Havelock North’s drinking water to report back to the Government. By May 12 the first stage, which will address matters relating directly to the contamination incident and response, will be due. Stage two, due by December 8, will address system issues and managing the country’s water supply. The extension is due to legal action, and the panel’s decision to adopt a two-stage approach.
