The Box Set
International Netball, Wednesday, 7.30pm, Sky Sport 3

Diana and the Paparazzi, 8.30pm, Wednesday, Prime
On the eve of the 20th anniversary of her death, this new documentary explores the princess’ ‘‘love-hate’’ relationship with the people who courted and hunted her. Amongst the interviewees is French paparazzo Jean-Paul Dousset who breaks his silence about the fateful crash which claimed Princess Diana’s life. Other documentaries scheduled to screen on Sky TV this week include Seven Days That Shook
the World (Thursday, 7.30pm, Prime) and The Last 100 Days of Diana (Monday, 7.30pm, Vibe)
Frozen, 5.10pm, Saturday, TVNZ2
The Lion King might edge it on Shakespearean tragedy, but for sheer animated inventiveness, thrilling adventure, tearinducing emotion and an eclectic array of hummable toetapping tunes, it is hard to beat Disney’s 53rd animated adventure, first released in 2013. Like Tangled and the semilive action Enchanted, this isn’t afraid to mess with the usual fairytale conventions.
Everest, 7pm, Saturday, Three
Baltasar Kormakur’s 2015 tale is a thrilling action movie and a fitting tribute to one of New Zealand’s unsung heroes. With its starry cast (vast enough to include virtual cameos from the likes of Keira Knightley and Robin Wright) and intimate stories set against an epic canvas, Everest feels like a 21st century version of the 1970s-era disaster movie crossed with Touching the Void.
A Walk Among the Tombstones, 9pm, Saturday, Duke
While some of his character’s special skills are the same as that of Taken‘s Bryan Mills, retired cop turned unlicensed private detective Matt Scudder allows Liam Neeson to march to a slightly different rhythm in this 2014 thriller. Scudder is a technology-averse, ask questions first gumshoe – a Sam Spade who isn’t afraid to call one one as well.
Newshub: Leaders Debate, 8.30pm, Monday, Three
A rare chance to hear the two main political party leaders without the controversial Mike Hosking, Paddy Gower hosts Three’s only pre-Election Day battle between Jacinda Ardern and Bill English. TVNZ’s first leaders debate is on Thursday, August 31 at 7pm.
