ASUNNY KHANDALLAH home with uninterrupted harbour views has been auctioned for more than 90 per cent above its rateable value.
The property, at 5 Gavaskar Place, had a rateable value of $680,000 and sold for $1.286 million.
‘‘It was immaculate and had some of the nicest views in Khandallah,’’ says Steve Rodwell, of Ray White Leaders, who marketed the 260-square-metre house with Dexter Diedericks and Ben Cartwright.
‘‘But competition was the key – we received six offers via deadline sale.’’
Built in the 1980s on a 1226-square metre section, it had four bedrooms,, three bathrooms, two living areas, a modern kitchen with dual ovens, a study, ducted vacuum-cleaning system, dual balconies that ran the length of the house, and an internal-access double-garage.

A CROFTON DOWNS home in one of the suburb’s top locations has been auctioned for $130,000 above its rateable value. 11 Thatcher Cres, had a rateable value of $630,000 and sold for $760,000.
Julie Hurley, of Harcourts, says the fourbedroom family home was in one of Crofton Down’s most sought after locations. The 200sqm dwelling was built in the 1980s on a 737sqm section with parking for two cars.

The property, at 11 Lincoln Tce, had a rateable value of $365,000 and sold for $477,000. Tim Cook, of Harcourts, says the exterior of the four-bedroom dwelling had been freshly repainted and fitted with underfloor and wall insulation.
