AN ARO VALLEY home that was elevated for privacy and tranquility has been auctioned for nearly $190,000 above its rateable value.
The property, at 58 Norway St, had a rateable value of $465,000 and sold for $652,000.
Jane Park, of Harcourts, marketed the three-bedroom house as a city-fringe ‘‘oasis of calm’’ for first-home buyers.
It was built in the 1950s on a 508-square-metre section with valley views, garaging and off-street parking for three cars.
