Island Bay townhouses

-

FIVE beachside townhouses with three-to-four bedrooms are to be built in Island Bay. The properties, at 20 Reef St, are being marketed with a buyer enquiry from $965,000 and are due for completion in October 2019.

‘‘It’s incredibly rare to be able to buy new homes of this calibre in a such an established, sought-after location so close to the beach,’’ Aaron Nation, of Lowe & Co Realty, says.

The development will be only metres from the beach and Shortland Park, with each twostorey townhouse being on freehold title.

Ranging in size from 134-square metres to 150sqm, they will have timber weatherboard exteriors and Colorsteel roofs, and offer single garaging or car pads on landscaped sections.

The townhouses will have high studs, oversized windows and designer kitchens with engineered stone benchtops and a choice of finishes.

Interiors will be open-plan, with outdoor flow to paved courtyards, and buyers can choose from a range of colour schemes.

‘‘They also will be exceptionally warm,’’ Nation says. ‘‘They will be fully insulated and double-glazed, and will offer radiator central heating throughout for maximum comfort and warmth.’’

The townhouses will have twoto-three bathrooms, depending on the configuration, and the sections will be landscaped for easy care.

‘‘This development will be in a prime beachside location close to a park, set back from The Parade, and just a flat, easy walk from Island Bay village,’’ Nation says.

‘‘The development’s being undertaken by Aramus Limited, which was responsible for successful developments like Glide Lane in Whitby and Tinakori Road villas in Thorndon.

‘‘They’re a proven building company with a fantastic track record and a reputation for quality, reliability and superior construction.’’

He points out buyers may need only a 10 percent deposit if new build lending applies.

‘‘This is an amazing lifestyle opportunity in a coveted location where new homes are rarely for sale.’’
