Anzac services around region
Wellington and surrounding regions, along with the rest of New Zealand, will pause tomorrow to commemorate Anzac Day. Take a look to see what services are on in your area tomorrow. WELLINGTON
6am: Dawn Service, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park.
9am: Wellington Citizens’ Wreath-Laying Service at Cenotaph Precinct, corner of Lambton Quay and Bowen St.
11am: National Commemoration Service, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park.
2.30pm: Ataturk Memorial Service at Ataturk Memorial, Tarakena Bay, Strathmore.
Between 3am and 2pm, Tasman and Tory streets will be closed and detours will be in place in Martin Square, Haining and Frederick streets. Parking will be restricted so plan ahead and check public transport through metlink.co.nz. Mobility parking is available in The Warehouse car park on Tory St.
HUTT VALLEY
Lower Hutt
6am: Dawn Service at the Cenotaph, beside the Lower Hutt War Memorial Library, Riddiford Garden. Assemble at 5.45am.
9.45am: Civic Service, at the Cenotaph.
Other services will be held in Wainuiomata, Naenae, Petone, Eastbourne and Stokes Valley. Check huttcity.govt.nz for timings.
Upper Hutt
5.30am: Assemble at the Queen St car park, with the march to Civic Centre at 5.45am.
6am: Firing of the shots at Upper Hutt Civic Centre. 11am: Memorial service at St John’s Church.
KA¯ PITI COAST
Paraparaumu
6.30am: Service at the memorial arch on Tutanekai St.
9.20am: Citizens’ Parade. Meet at the hospital gates on Tutanekai St.

10.30am: Wreath laying at the Whitehouse Rd Cenotaph. Meet at 10.15am at RSA on Main Rd.
