Image quality to fore in Samsung phone
THE NEWEST Galaxy phone, the A80, went on sale this weekend and is the first from Samsung to offer a rotating triple camera and New Infinity Display.
The camera provides the same high-quality lens, front and rear, so the vividness of videos and images is never compromised.
It also can record footages continuously, no matter if shot on
front or back camera - everything can be captured in one video.
The 48MG main camera takes clear, bright photos day and night while the 8MP Ultra Wide Lens has a 123-degree viewing angle.
There’s also a 3D Depth Camera for capturing subjects in more depth, a Live Focus Video mode for creating movie-like clips, and a Super Steady Video mode reduces bumps or shakes for pro-like action videos.
The Galaxy A80 also boasts Samsung’s first New Infinity Display, an expansive, edge-to-edge, 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen that combines a cinematic 20:9 display ratio with Dolby Atmos when using earphones or Bluetooth speakers.
Samsung Knox, Samsung’s ‘‘defence-grade security platform’’, was designed to protect from chipset to software while Samsung Pass is a fingerprint sensor for securely accessing apps and websites.
Other features include 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, rapid charging and an Android 9 (Pie) operating system.
Said an early assessment on the Trusted Reviews website: ‘‘Samsung Galaxy A80 is the brand’s slightly riskier take on the Galaxy S10.
‘‘It’s one of the most ‘different’ Samsung phones we’ve seen in a long time and could be an interesting look what see flagships looking like in the future.’’
The A80 sells in store for $999 and can be bought on Vodafone and 2Degree plans.
