RV smashed in Woburn

-

AWOBURN HOME with 1930s character in a premium location has been auctioned for $420,000 above its rateable value.

The property, at 18 Maire St, had a rateable value of $960,000 and sold for $1.38 million.

“It was a stylish character bungalow, with natural timbers, leadlight windows and Carrara features, in a distinguished neighbourhood,” Celia Barnao, of Harcourts, says.

The 190-square metre dwelling had four bedrooms, formal and casual living areas with french doors to a deck, and an external fire on a fenced 814 square metre section with an electric gate and parking for two cars.

“It was on a great street five blocks from Petone Beach, within walking distance of Jackson Street shops and cafes, and close to transport to Wellington or Lower Hutt CBD in the Hutt Valley High and Hutt Intermediate school zones.”
