We want to feel safe

With the proposed design of the new building for Environment Canterbury as shown in The Press (Dec 21), adding to the portfolio of other such designs in the inner city, all with walls full of glass, I have a question for the architects, engineers and Christchurch City Council members involved in the rebuild.

Can they reassure the people of Christchurch that multistory walls of glass are safe in earthquakes, high winds or hailstorms?

After the experience of the last two years we all want to feel safe when we visit our new inner city.
