Little making Kaikoura trip to check on quake recovery

Labour leader Andrew Little is making a second visit to Kaikoura to check in on the quake-hit town’s recovery. Little visited the area last week with Prime Minister John Key, flying in by helicopter to meet locals. He will arrive in Kaikoura this morning, meeting mayor Winston Gray before later attending a public meeting in the town. Little has called for the Government’s earthquake relief package to be expanded, saying it was clear that the region faced ‘‘an extended downturn’’.
